Vail built her house in 1915, she used a blend of Craftsman and late Victorian styles \u2013 with high ceilings downstairs, ornamental moldings, beadboard and craftsman design elements in the porch. The house has been through many changes, and after a fire and years of neglect, was close to lost and sold at a tax sale.
